Your Questions Answered

How natural will permanent make-up look?
Checkout our gallery of work to see how we create a classic, timeless and polished look to enhance features and allow your natural beauty to shine through. Full on glamour can of course be achieved however we strongly recommend you top up your permanent make-up with conventional cosmetics for such occasions. Just remember, it’s really important to go to someone who can show you pictures of their own work!

Does it hurt?
We will explain exactly what we are doing and if you feel any discomfort at all a little bit of soothing cream can be applied. Some people have likened the sensation to having their eyebrows tweezed during the treatment. Following the treatment some people experience a little swelling or redness however this soon disappears and we will give you full after care instructions.

How long does it last for?
Immediately after your treatment the pigment will look darker in your skin than you expected. This is natural however after a few days the surface colour naturally exfoliates to leave a softer colour. When your skin has healed you will come back for the second part of your treatment where more pigment can be applied if required. As your skin rejuvenates, the pigments will gradually fade over a period of up to two years. A colour boost every 12 to 18 months is recommended to keep your look fresh.

Is it safe?
Clients are patch tested prior to the first procedure to see if they have any allergic reaction to the pigment; 99.9% of people do not have any reaction at all. We can supply a patch test by post which you can do overnight; then we can agree a date and time to secure your appointment.

Is it for me?
Permanent make-up has long been one of the best kept secrets of the beauty industry, now the secret is out and it is becoming one of the fastest growing beauty treatments of today. More and more women from all walks of life and indeed men opt for treatments to look younger, fresher and more attractive anytime and anywhere. You must be over 18 years of age. Our most requested first treatment is eye brows, especially for people who have difficulty creating the same shape and height every morning and who have a tendency to accidently rub them off during the day. Over 80% of our clients come back for further treatments such as eyeliner and lip colour.

Is permanent makeup expensive?
Well, it’s quite a bit more expensive than an eyebrow tint, a lipstick or an eyeliner pencil… but what would you pay for a hassle free lifestyle, to look good all the time and enjoy lasting results? Give us a call to discuss the treatment you are thinking about and we will give you a price, explain the process and answer your questions. Remember there is absolutely no obligation when you call.

Where can I have my permanent makeup treatment?
We have clinics at Ghyllmount Dental Practice in Penrith & Boyd’s Hair & Beauty in Carlisle. Just pick the nearest one to you and call Julie on 07778 454243 to book your treatment.
